AGRARIAN 2012: An overview


Overview


In 29 August 2012, Kodiang will throw open its doors and welcome 100,000 enthusiastic Agriculturist, Industry Players, Tourist, Students, man and women to the initial Kodiang Agriculture Exposition (AGRARIAN 2012).

They will be treated to over 50 demonstrations and activities for all types and levels of experience. They will enjoy over 200 exhibitors from Malaysia and overseas and will have the opportunity to try out their machinery on the actual situation. And as high consumers of Agriculture area, the visitors will flock to our expo to see what’s new and will try to learn about the technology offered. 

Approximately 70% of people around Kodiang are farmers and or work in Padi fields; with some or at least 50% of them are doing multiple Agricultural activities such as Rubber Tapping, planting Padi, breeding animals, etc.  These people depends their livelihoods and continuity on agriculture. Our duty is to make sure that they are equipped for it to be as successful and enjoyable as possible.  On average, the visitors will spend over RM150 each at the Expo.

Where does your organization fit in?  Based upon statistics, over 3,637,266 people live in Penang, Kedah and Perlis. As in Kedah itself 1,890,098 people and at least 60% are involved in Agriculture industry. The markets are actually very big here. Apart from that, the geography in Kodiang will allow a real time demonstration of what the technology can offers. Rural Kodiang’s destinations, allowing the people to showcase not only the destinations, they can also communicates with the world that Kodiang have what it takes to be one of the tourist attraction in Malaysia. Networking is another part of the exposition traits. Where we can see the sponsors, participants and the industry can create a link of networking amongst them.

Intention and Objective
Reinventing Malaysian Sustainability Agriculture through wisdom from proven and successful Agro-Innovation

-       To create awareness on the significant of Agro-Innovation in today’s Agriculture sectors.
-       To generates co-operations amongst technology providers and related government agency in order to assist the farmers big and small toward the optimizations of their produce.
-       To help educates the farmers on how to lower the costs of productions and increase the quality of the crops by using the new innovative systems as well as equipments.
-       To create a cyclical channel of knowledge amongst the farmers and the industry players so that everyone could benefit from the activities.

4.    Males 35+, regular farmers and breeders, generally fathers/grandfathers, similar psychographic to above

5.    Other markets -- People who would rather go to a show than stay home, fathers who need to entertain the kids for a weekend, people whose existing plans are cancelled by bad weather. 

6. The Industry Players- those who are seeking for new investment opportunity as well as try to learned new knowledge.

We will be embarking upon comprehensive market research on the subject.  We are happy to include up to four Agriculture-related questions on Industries behalf and will provide you with the full results of the research.



Media Support Planning

We have created a media plan that will generate interest in and awareness of the Expo, while specifically targeting our key markets. A nominal budget has been set aside to promote this event in full-strength. In order to lead the event to a climax, a series of advertising and promotional activities will take place continuously one-after-another.   Our total budget for paid and promotional media is at the range of RM 250, 000.  This includes TV exposure, Magazine exposures, Newspaper exposures, and other type of promotional activities directly and indirectly.

The Media advertising will start in July the 1st 2012.  We will be working closely with the media as the promotional activities are going on. As a sponsor of AGRARIAN 2012, your organization will enjoy an instants increased in public also at the grassroots awareness about your organization goals and objective in Malaysia and beyond. It will also help increased the recognitions to your company activities socially and business wise. Thus, the exposures will generate an increase in your organization’s sales.

On Thursday night, 30 August, we will be throwing a BBQ dinner and Merdeka Countdown celebration in the expo area.  Your organization will be promoted as the joint host of this event and you are welcome to invite up to 5 of your staff to join the celebration.

 On-Site Sales
As naming rights sponsor to AGRARIAN 2012, you will be located in a large, central area.  Arrangements have been made to provide this area with power and other cabling necessary to run any of your equipment on-site.  The attraction is always at the center of every good event. Your organization can expect quite a number of sales opportunities there. To ensure the greatest possible opportunity for your organization to develop networking with our other exhibitors, we will provide you with an exhibitor list and contact details no later than four weeks prior to the Expo.

 

We will also be working closely with your assigned representative to come out with the best exposure for your organization.
